CEADs Team Recruiting Outstanding PhD Students through University College London
The CEADs team brings together scholars from research institutions in China, the United Kingdom and other countries. The team has long been dedicated to studying the characteristics of carbon emissions in China and other emerging economies, as well as pathways for emissions reduction, providing solid theoretical foundations and technical support for green and low-carbon development in emerging economies. Through The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at University College London, the CEADs team is recruiting PhD students for September 2022 entry. Research areas include, but are not limited to, low-carbon technology innovation, climate change and disaster economics, climate finance and investment, carbon markets, the compilation and application of environmental input-output tables, and low-carbon consumer behavior.
Requirements
1. A relevant disciplinary background, such as economics, environmental science, geography or other related fields.
2. A masters degree, to be obtained before August 2022.
3. IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in listening, speaking, reading and writing, or an equivalent score in another language test.

4. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Matlab or R.

Funding
1. Full scholarships are available for exceptionally outstanding candidates, covering tuition fees and providing an annual living allowance of GBP 17,000.
2. China Scholarship Council programs: the CSC provides monthly living expenses and medical insurance, and the university may cover four years of tuition fees for outstanding candidates.
