CEADs Chinese Website Launched | Several Scholars Named 2020 Global Highly Cited Researchers

CEADs

With joint support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology key research and development programs, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, UK Research Councils, the Newton Fund, and other research institutions, CEADs brings together scholars from research organizations in China, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, and other regions. The team jointly compiles multi-scale carbon accounting inventories and socioeconomic and trade databases for China, developing countries, and regions, and provides fully open, transparent, and free data downloads for academic research.

The CEADs team consists of three research groups: the Environmental Accounting Group, the Economic Trade Group, and the Interdisciplinary Group. It is also supported by an advisory committee made up of 18 senior scholars from China and abroad. The Environmental Group develops and releases carbon emission inventories at developing-country, regional, and city scales. The Economic Group develops global, regional, and inter-city multi-regional input-output tables. The Interdisciplinary Group develops disaster footprint methodologies and accounting systems, assessing the socioeconomic impacts of natural disasters and other emergencies from the perspective of industrial supply chains.
